The Olympic Club Foundation

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

General Application Guidelines:

The OCF supports organized youth athletic programs. The Foundation will consider grant requests up to $25,000 that fall within the parameters below. Please note the average grant size for the last 2 years has been $9,500.

The OCF funds:

  • Programs serving youth in K-12th grade with priority given to programs serving low-income youth
  • Programs serving youth in at least one of the following Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, or Sonoma
  • Program Support: costs associated with uniforms, equipment, coaching staff, facility rentals, entrance fees, team travel costs, player fees for sports teams, referees, etc.
  • Organizations with a current tax exempt status or have a fiscal sponsor that is tax exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) and "not a private foundation" as defined in Internal Revenue Code Sections 509(a) and 170(b)(1)(A).

The OCF does not fund:

  • Unified school districts directly
  • Collegiate programs
  • Administrative and operating costs
  • Therapeutic athletic activities, academic programs, playgrounds, non-sports summer camps and nutrition programs

If you are an organization that has received funding for the past 3 or more consecutive years, we encourage you to wait one year before reapplying.

All applicants must complete the Grant Application and submit it through this portal. No paper applications will be accepted.

After your proposal is received, an OCF representative will follow up if additional information is needed and to arrange a site visit.

Submission Guidelines:

  • You will need to create a free Submittable account, or sign in with Google or Facebook credentials in order to submit to these forms.
  • If you are a grant writer submitting an application on behalf of an organization, please add the organization contacts as collaborators so we can include them on communications regarding their application.
  • You can save a draft of your work if you would like to finish filling out the form at a later date.
  • If you need to make changes to your submitted application, please withdraw your submission and resubmit.
  • If anything changes with the information you submitted, please request to edit the submission.
  • Our platform works best on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Internet Explorer is not supported. Please make sure you are using a supported browser, and that the files are valid file types. You can find the acceptable file types under the "Choose File" button on the application.
  • We will follow-up with you about your submission by email. Please be sure to safelist notification emails from Submittable and check the email you used to sign up for your Submittable Account regularly.
